Tasik GUBIR

Lake Gubir or known as Ulu Muda/Tasik Muda is one of the largest lakes in Kedah. It was gazetted since 1932 as a permanent forest reserve and still remains until now. It is a man-made lake created by the construction of the Muda Dam for water supply and irrigation for agriculture. The outflow from the lake is Sungai Muda, the longest river in Kedah. Lake Gubir surrounded by the Ulu Muda Rainforest is a natural heritage of a 150-170 million year old rainforest located in the northern corner of the State of Kedah, bordering Thailand.
Lake Gubir is known for his large population of Toman. This lake offers two frei ball seasons where you can play the mamas. The rest of the year is mostly about sight cast and blind cast, looking for jubangs.
